The Liebster Award

It always amazes me when I get nominated for these blogger awards and challenges. After a number of years trying to write a decent blog, this last year has helped me discover that it’s genuinely something I want to do for a career, and the blogger community on Twitter have been amazing in supporting me. This week, the amazing Leo (aka. The Anxious History Teacher) nominated me for The Liebster Award, and I cannot thank her enough. Leo writes a wonderful blog about her experiences with anxiety and how it has impacted her career as a teacher. It’s an incredibly honest and powerful account of living with a mental health disorder and how important it is to break the stigma surrounding it. What is The Liebster Award?

The Liebster Award is a peer recognition award for up and coming bloggers, and the rules are as follows:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you
2. Answer the questions from the person who nominated you
3. Nominate 11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers
4. Tell your nominees through social media

Leo’s Questions

1: What do you prefer with chips? Ketchup or mustard?

Definitely ketchup!

2: What song would you use to describe how you’re feeling right now?

3: How do you like your eggs cooked?

Either fried or scrambled. I’m also quite partial to a poached egg if I’m in the right mood for it.

4: Who is your celebrity crush and why?

Russell Howard. I have a thing for funny men. I also wouldn’t say no to Joel Dommett, Jack Whitehall, or Ed Gamble. I’ve also recently found out that Chris Ramsey is doing Strictly this year so that’ll probably add another male comedian to my list.

5: Have you had any regrets since you started blogging?

Not this time around. I do regret that I gave up so many times in the past though!

6: What is your opinion on PDAs?

The older I’ve got, the less I’ve been a fan! I remember my husband and I were THAT couple when we first got together so I’m definitely guilty of it.

8: What is your spirit animal?

Definitely a cat! They love naps and hate most people. 

9: What’s more important? Love, money or happiness?

I guess happiness? I was once told you can only have two out of three – in which case I’d pick love as well. 

10: Where do you want to be blogging wise by the end of this year?

I’d like to reach 200 followers – it’s not much compared to what other bloggers achieve but I want to be realistic, baby steps and all that. I also would have liked to have earned a bit of money through it. I’m not talking any hefty amount – even a tenner would do!

11: What is your go to TV binge show?

Frasier or Friends. Although one of my favourite binge sessions we did was when we first watched Grey’s Anatomy.
