Hello! I’m desperately trying to get back on schedule with my blogging and working out and general adulting. It’s not quite there yet, but I’m hoping having no plans this weekend means I can get back on track. Anyway, welcome to Week 3 of the Weekly Song Challenge! If you’ve missed the last couple of posts, you can read them here:
As I have been for the last couple of weeks, I’m leaving this an open tag, so please feel free to join in if you want to get involved!

1: A Song That Reminds You of a Loved One
I adore this song. It’s probably my favourite song on the Fearless album. When I first heard it I’ll admit I didn’t really pay attention to the lyrics and therefore didn’t really get the meaning of the song. However, when I was driving one day I listened to this properly and I was intrigued over who the song was about. After doing a little research, I found that Taylor wrote this about her mum. The next time I listened to it I was almost in tears because it reminded me of my childhood with my Mum. I particularly relate to the second verse and that’s usually what sets me off:
I’m thirteen now and don’t know how my friends can be so mean
I come home crying and you hold me tight and grab the keys
And we drive and drive until we’ve found a town far enough away
And we talk and window shop til I’ve forgot all their names
I don’t know who I’m gonna talk to now at school
But I’m laughing in the car ride home with you
Don’t know how long it’s gonna take to feel okay
But I know I had the best day with you today
2: A Song That Mentions Food or Drink
I struggled with this one! It’s actually pretty hard to think of a song that talks about food or drink. This was one of the first that I thought of. It’s a total banger.
3: A Song That Talks About Rain or Sunshine
Not a lot of people will have heard of this but I was introduced to it through Grey’s Anatomy. It first made an appearance around season 2 (I think) and was then featured in the infamous musical episode in season 7. I like this song because it’s pretty boppy, and it just puts me in a good mood every time I hear it. Also, a shout out to the Golden Age version, which features in an episode of season 12 (Grey’s fan for life) where Meredith and her sisters dance it out.
