Real Neat Blog Award 2

I had another lovely pick-me-up this week, which came from the lovely Chloe at CentreStage, who nominated me for my second Real Neat Blog Award! Chloe’s blog is a wonderful array of travel and beauty tips, but her main focus is theatre. From reviews of some of the biggest musicals to interviews with West End stars, CentreStage is the place for theatre buffs! Thank you so much to Chloe for nominating me, let’s crack on with the questions!

Rules of the Real Neat Blog Award

  • Display the award logo
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and post a link to their blog
  • Answer the questions from the blog who nominated you
  • Nominate seven to ten bloggers
  • Ask them seven questions

Chloe’s Questions

1: If You Could Have Tea with Anybody from History, Who Would it Be and Why?

Freddie Mercury – I have so much love for him since watching Bohemian Rhapsody, and not only was he an amazing musician and entertainer, he loved cats just as much as I do!

2: Are You on Instagram? Share Your Link and Share the Link to One Other of Your Favourite Channels. Why Did You Choose Them?

I am! I’m @amymayj on Instagram, and you can also follow my cat, Tilly at @queen_tillytots. One of my favourite IG channels without a doubt has to be Taylor Swift – in addition to me being a massive fangirl, she also regularly posts pictures and stories of her cats!

3: Why Did You Start Blogging?

I started a job where I would predominantly write content, and it made me realise how much I like writing. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to do it for a career, so I started my blog in the hopes that I could one day do this full time and actually make enough money from it to live on. I’m a very VERY long way off, but it’s something I want so badly.

4: What is Your Go-To Song at the Moment?

London Boy by Taylor Swift is one of my favourites at the moment. To be honest, anything on the Lover album is my go-to right now.

5: Have You Ever Re-Read a Book? What Was It and Why Did You Go Back to It?

Many times! One book I’ve re-read more than once is The Illustrated Mum by Jacqueline Wilson. It was my favourite book growing up and I still have my copy now. I just loved the characters and the story, and it sparked my interest in mental health from quite an early age! To be honest, I re-read a fair few of Jacqueline Wilson’s books when I was growing up!

6: You’re Stranded on a Desert Island. What’s the First Thing You Do?

Probably cry and/or have a panic attack.

7: If You Could Give One Message to Your Younger Self, What Would You Say?

Don’t give up on your dream of becoming a vet just because you’re not very good at maths and science. For God’s sake just ask for help with them and don’t pick art or child development for your GCSEs.

Thank you again to Chloe for nominating me! It’s always so nice to get these awards from fellow bloggers and I always love to answer a new batch of questions.

As I was also nominated just last week for the Real Neat Blogger Award, I’m going to leave a link to last week’s post which has my nominations and questions. You can check it out here!

The Lover album is my favourite at the moment too! And I loved The Illustrated Mum too when I was younger! I had a pretty impressive collection of Jacqueline Wilson books which were all read over and over. Well done on your nomination! xx

Thank you! 🙂 At the time I don’t think anyone had heard of The Illustrated Mum but as an adult so many people of a similar age seem to remember it – it was such a good book and I always love how Jacqueline Wilson wrote about real stuff and didn’t shy away from difficult topics! Thanks for stopping by! xx

Thank you! Oh my god I’m glad it’s not just me – it’s been in the CD player of my car since I first bought it back in August and I’m still not tired of it haha! xx
