Hello! It’s been a while, but I’m officially ending my blogging break. I honestly didn’t expect it to go on for as long as it did, so I’m sorry to have been away for so long. In between throwing in a bit of Christmas shopping and enduring the worst cold along with the planned content writing, I didn’t really get as much done as I’d have liked, but I still made some progress thankfully.
In between trying to put together some content, I still tried to make sure that kept up with everyone else’s blogs and left a few comments, but I wasn’t so hard on myself when I didn’t manage it. I also feel as though I could have gotten more stuff done had I not been hit with the lurgy 2 weeks ago. I ended up with a horrific cold and cough, and I felt horrendous. As it’s been the run up to Black Friday, taking time off work was out of the question, but I had a few days over the weekend where I didn’t do anything. Unfortunately, where I felt so crappy, I didn’t get any writing done, which annoyed the hell out of me.
Last weekend I thought I was on the mend, but after the cough suddenly decided to get worse, and my eyes deciding they needed a healthy dose of conjunctivitis, it was clear that this was not the case. Thankfully, I’m feeling much better as I write this, and this is the first day I’ve worn make-up in over a week. I’ve genuinely been gagging to wear it all week.
Anyway, I’m feeling a lot more positive about my blog and I’m looking forward to getting back into it. I had a whole list of content that I needed to write, but after getting through most of it I’ve realised a fair chunk of it was topical for November. I blame the cold fogging up my brain. Anyway, I’ve tweaked a bit of it to get it to fit in a little better, but it’s meant that I haven’t been able to get much Christmassy content written for December. Obviously I could have written the stuff I wanted to publish in December during my break, but I only realised this after I wrote 5 pieces of content from my November list. With the time it took me to write the stuff I’ve done, it would have January by the time I had it all written. FFS.
Anyway, I’m hoping to now be back on schedule with everything, and I will be publishing a new post on Monday. Hopefully I can keep up the momentum and get back on track properly, so that I can really focus on my goals in the new year. I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their lovely comments on my last post and for your constant support this year. Here’s hoping things are on the up!
